Now we're
truckin'
It was body glue-up yesterday for #030. After a couple fresh passes through the jointer to
resurface and square the edges, the two side were ready to glue.
Tools needed: 4 heavy duty bar clamps, Titebond glue, wax paper and a damp cloth for
wiping off glue squeeze out. |
|
A nice even
coat of glue is applied to each edge and allowed to sit for a couple minutes. Since the
glue contains a lot of water which will rust the bar clamps at the seam, a couple sheets
of wax paper is placed over the bars to prevent rust stains from transfering into the body
spread. |

And lastly the
two sides are aligned and clamped for drying. |
